Ethics Committee

An Ethics Committee is a group of individuals tasked with addressing moral questions and providing guidance on sensitive matters. Its members are selected from within the Home Care and Support Department of the Luxembourg Red Cross and the CIPA of Junglinster. They are healthcare professionals chosen for their qualifications and expertise, in accordance with legal requirements. Where necessary, an external expert may be consulted; however, no personal data will be shared with them.

Why have an Ethics Committee, and how can it support you?

The Ethics Committee provides independent guidance to help shed light on ethical and philosophical questions related to your care. Its role may involve reflecting on aspects of your personal situation, supporting you in making informed and autonomous decisions, or addressing concerns about the respect of your fundamental rights. The committee’s mission is to support both staff and beneficiaries in navigating ethical questions.
